What can it be ? Stockings,  Spiders, Soap? No, the first one is something that you cannot see, but it is there all right--Sin. Who first brought sin into the world ? Satan, the old Serpent. With sin came in a whole host of other miserable S's -- Sickness, Sorrow, Sadness, Sighing. And in the Bible we read that the wages of sin is death (or, if you like, the Sexton's Spade and a Shroud).  What a dismal picture!

But there is another "S" -- a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.

He came from His home in heaven, and died on the cross, so that every boy or girl that trusts Him might have his or her sins washed away and live with Him for ever.

Now some S's for those that trust Him. They have Salvation from their sins, or Safety; then Security, for they shall never perish. It is always Springtime, Sunshine and Singing where He is. Christ is their Shield, Surety and Shepherd. They are His Sheep, His Servants, His Saints. Are all these good things yours?
