"Of making many books there is no end," said the wise King Solomon. How right he was! Millions and millions of books are written and printed to-day, some good and some bad. What sort of book do you read?

A man, it is said, grows like the food he eats, and a boy's mind like the books he reads. There are plenty of good stories that will thrill and interest without teaching you to despise things that are good and honest and pure.

Above all, make sure that you read the Bible. That alone can keep your mind and heart clean and pure, and teach you to love and serve God. Have you got a Bible? If you have, read it, praying to God to help you to, understand it. If you have not got one, ask your father or your mother, or your Sunday School teacher, to get you one, and do not let it get dusty, but read it every day. It will be a lamp to your feet, and a light to your path. "Thy Word is very pure," says the Psalmist. "Therefore Thy servant loveth it."

"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away," said the Lord Jesus. Do you love the Bible ?
