Holidays at Home

Back to List

Quite a number of folk have to spend their holidays at home, and it is surprising what we can find to do without going on a long train journey, or even a short bus ride.

Windsor children have learnt to make the most of "Holidays at Home." At the first sign of sunshine, out they go with swim-suits and towels, and, almost under the shadow of the ancient castle, there is soon a happy, shouting crowd of boys and girls, splashing about at the edge of the river, pretending that they are at the seaside.

Does God frown when He sees boys and girls enjoying themselves? Some people seem to think so, but in the Bible we read how the Lord Jesus used to watch the children playing in the market place and by the sea, and He loved to gather them in His arms. He wants us to be happy. The only true joy is when our sins are washed away in His precious blood, and He comes to live in our hearts. Let Him come into yours to-day.
